The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency launched their SmartWay program in 2004 to promote cleaner, more fuel efficient transportation options. In its simplest form, the SmartWay brand identifies products and services that reduce transportation-related emissions. However, the impact of the brand is much greater as it also signifies a partnership among government, business and consumers to protect our environment, reduce fuel consumption and improve our air quality for future generations.

All EPA SmartWay transportation programs result in significant, measurable air quality and/or greenhouse gas improvements while maintaining or improving current levels of other emissions and/or pollutants.

TEC Leasing provides a variety of Volvo and Mack trucks that currently meet EPA SmartWay certification requirements. Our involvement with the San Pedro Bay Ports Clean Trucks Program has pushed us to the forefront of the clean diesel trucks movement in the western United States. Many of our vehicles are not only SmartWay Certified but carry the California CARB Clean Idle Certification designation.
